BBQ Sauce Ingredients
There are a lot of different types of barbecue sauces out there. A lot of them are either tomato-based, vinegar-based, or mustard-based. Today we’re going to focus on a tomoto based BBQ sauce made from ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen. If you’re in a rush and just need come up with something quickly, or if you want to start to work on your own secret blend, here’s a basic sauce recipe to get you started:
- 1 Cup – Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp – Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp – Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp – Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp – Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp – Onion Powder
Combine these ingredients in a saucepan and let simmer for 15 minutes or if you’re in a hurry you can just combine at room temperature and serve right away. If you have liquid smoke and/or lemon juice on hand you can add a small amount to this recipe (about 1/8 tsp of each).
